Ryan Gold

After placing faith in the Biblical gospel at a young age, Ryan Gold felt the inward call of ministry throughout his teens and twenties. In obedience to this calling, he was formally trained at The Moody Bible Institute (B.A., Bible-Theology, ‘00) and The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div., Theology, ‘05).

After experiencing a strong desire to start a church in his home state of Colorado for many years, he began the journey on March 30, 2008. Ryan has a passion for preaching the Scriptures in such a way that those under him are transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Men who have influenced Ryan from church history are as follows: Augustine, Athanasius, Luther, Calvin, Jonathan Edwards, Charles Spurgeon, Jim Elliot, A.W. Tozer, and C.S. Lewis.

Contemporary men who've influenced him are Alistair Begg, D.A. Carson, Matt Chandler, Tim Keller, John MacArthur, Al Mohler, John Piper, and David Wells.

Certain professors had a tremendous impact upon him from Moody and Southern : John Laansma, Ron Sauer, Andrew Schmutzer, Russell Moore, Tom Schreiner, and Steve Wellum.

Books that have shaped him: Knowledge of the Holy (Tozer), Knowing God (Packer), Mere Christianity (Lewis), Augustine's Confessions, Future Grace (Piper), According to Plan (Goldsworthy), and Prodigal God (Keller).

Ryan would be quick to tell you that his wife, Rachel, is his best friend, right arm in ministry, and a homemaker extraordinaire. They were married on 7/7/01 and are blessed with three children: Katie, Gavin, and Kevin.
