Andy was blessed to be born into a Christian home where he heard the Gospel from his earliest days. At the age of 10 he confessed faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and followed the Lord in believer’s baptism shortly thereafter. He graduated from Cedarville College (B.A. – Political Science) and married the love of his life, Deanna, the following year.
Andy attended and graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law (J.D. – 1984) and was admitted to the Minnesota State Bar that same year. Andy and Deanna were heavily involved serving in the First Baptist Church of Luverne, Minnesota when they felt the Lord directing them to the mission field.
In preparation for the mission field, the Pasmas moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan, where Andy attended and graduated from Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary (M.Div. – 1997) . Andy and Deanna served as missionaries for 12 years ministering in Thailand and Singapore, most recently serving with the Asia Biblical Theological Seminary. During that time Andy began a doctoral program (Ed.D.) at Bethel University completing his course work in 2008.
Andy has been influenced by theologians D.A. Carson, Eugene Peterson, Tim Keller, John Piper, and Gerry Bridges. Andy appreciates the influence his seminary professors and friends have had on his life: Robert Rapa, David Turner, Jim Grier, David Kennedy, and Gary Meadors.
Andy and Deanna attended New Covenant Community Church for the first time in September, 2009. They were impressed with the friendliness of the new3c family together with the dynamic expository preaching and have attended since that day. Andy was appointed to the office of elder in September, 2011 and looks forward to serving the new3c congregation.
Andy and Deanna have been blessed with two daughters, Erin (and her husband, Kaleb) and Alyssa.
